The Hairdresser of Firawn’s daughter

Monday, March 5, 2012

It was narrated that Ibn Abbaas (Radia Allahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"On the night on which  I was taken on the Night Journey (Isra') , a beautiful fragance come to me . I said: Oh Jibreel, What is this beautiful fragance? He said: This is the fragance of the hairdresser  of Pharaon's daughter and her childrens. I said: What is their history? He said: Whilst she was combing the hair of Pharaon's daughter one day , the iron comb fell from her hand and she said " Bismillaah" ( In the name of Allah) . The daughter of Pharaon said : My father? She said : No , my Lord and the Lord of your father is Allah. She said: ‘I will tell him about that.’ She said: ‘Yes.’ So she told him and he summoned her and said: ‘O So and so, do you have a Lord other than me?’ She said: ‘Yes, my Lord and your Lord is Allaah.’ He ordered that a baqarah (lit. “cow”) made of copper be heated up, then he ordered that she and her children be thrown into it. She said:I have a request  to make of you. He said: What is your request? She said: ‘I would like my bones and my children’s bones to be gathered together in one cloth and buried.’ He said: ‘This will be done for you.’ He ordered that her children be thrown into it in front of her, one by one, until they came to the last one who was an infant boy who was still being breastfed. It was as she wavered because of him but he said: ‘O mother, go ahead, for the punishment of this world is easier to bear than the punishment of the hereafter.’ So she went ahead.”
Ibn ‘Abbaas (Radia Allahu anhu) said : Four infants spoke: ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Alehsalam), the companion of Jurayj, the witness of Yoosuf and the son of the hairdresser of Pharaoh’s daughter.

[Al-Dhahabi said in al-‘Aluw (84): This hadeeth has a hasan isnaad. Ibn Katheer said in al-Tafseer (3/15): There is nothing wrong with its isnaad. Its isnaad was classed as saheeh by the scholar Ahmad Shaakir in his commentary on al-Musnad (4/295). Al-Arna’oot said in Takhreej al-Musnad (5/30-31, no. 2821): Its isnaad is hasan.

The first three to be thrown into Hell on the Day of Resurrection.

Monday, February 20, 2012

Explanation from Ibn Qayyim (Rahimahu Allah ) of the hadeeth of the first three to be thrown into Hell in the Day of Resurrection :
"From Abu Hurayrah, who said:  I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Verily, the first to be juzged in the  Day of resurrection will be a man who had died as a Martyr. He will be brought forward. Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. Then He will ask him: `What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: I fought for Your Cause till I was martyred. Allah will say: You have lied. You fought so that people might call you courageous; and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell. Next a man who had acquired and imparted knowledge and read the Quran will be brought forward. Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man  and the man will acknowledge them. The He will ask him: What did you do to express gratitude for it? The man will reply: `I acquired knowledge and taught it, and read the Qur’an for Your sake.’  Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You acquired knowledge so that people might call you a learned (man), and you read the Qur’an so that they might call you a reciter, and they have done so. Command will then be issued about him , and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell. Next a man who Allah  had made afluent and to whom Allah had given plenty of wealth , will be brought forward. Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. He will ask him What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: I did not neglect any of  the ways You liked wealth to be spend liberally for Your sake. Allah will say to him : You have lied. You did it so that people might call you generous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.”
                                              (Saheh Muslim, 13/45/1905)

Then he says:  I heard Shaykh al Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah say : Just as the best of the people are the Prophets, then the worst of the people is the one who imitates them, giving the false impression that he is from them. The best of the people after them are the Ulemaa' and the Shuhadaa' and the Siddeeqoon and the Mukhlisoon and the worst of the people is the one who imitates them while giving the false impression that he is from them, while he is not from them.

The limits of changing the creation of Allah

Wednesday, February 8, 2012

Question- According to the hadeeth " Allah has curses the mutafallijaat (the women who put spaces between her teeth for beauty), those who change the creation of Allah?" [1} we have been prohibited for changing Allah's Creation. What exactly are the limits of this prohibition, since we have actions from the sunnah like clipping the mustache , removing armpit hair , circumcision, etc. So then what is the changing of the Creation that is permissible? and what is the changing that has been prohibited? And from which type is dental work, like repearing broken or chipped teeth or straightening crooked teeth to have a better appearance?

Answer- The guidelines that help us understand what is included in the prohibition of changings Allah's Creation are the legislative text of the Religion (i.e the Quran and the Sunnah) So every action related  to the physicall attributes of the human being that has being prohibited  by a legislative text is an act of changing the creation of Allah. And everything that has been approved of in the Sharee,ah is not been considered changing the Creation of Allah.
Verily the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) saw that one of the Companions was wearing a very long garment that actually hung below his ankles.  So he (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) prohibited him from wearing sucha a garment that hangs below the ankles. He replied " Oh Messenger of Allah! I am only concealing an unsightly curve in my leg by wearing this garment! So the Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said to him: All of Allah's Creation is beautiful [2]
The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) prohibited this Companion from allowing his garment to hang below his ankles , even to cover something that he saw as an imperfection in his appearance , this curve in his leg.
So based oon this we say that if anyone has been created with any imperfection in his appearance, then the principle is that all of Allah's creation is beautiful , and the Muslim should be pleased with what Allah has given him.
This is so long as the imperfection has not reached the level of harming the person. Here, we appy the sharee'a's principle: " There is no harm , and no reciprocating harm" [3]
As for the question about straightening the teeth , then the principle is that all of Allah's creation is beautiful, and that one does not change the appearance that Allah , the Glorified and Exalted, has created with him, so long as no harm is caused by remaining this way . If he is in pain or suffering, then we say , "There is no harm and no reciprocating harm" Thus you have the right to remove what is causing you harm. Aside from this, we say that things must remain the way they are as all of Allah's Creation is beautiful.
An example of changing  one's  appearance that is found in authentic text is what we read about one of the Companions who had his nose cutt off iin one of the battles before Islam. So he had a nose made of gold put on his face place on his original nose, and the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) approved of that [4]
Another exmple of altering the appearance in an aceptable way is what some of the Salaf used to do, they would fasten their teeth with thin strings of gold. And similar to this is what we have in our modern time when a tooth breals or falls out it can be replaced with a tooth made of gold. And with recent advancements in dentistry they are now making teeth from ceramic so that it has the excat color and make-up of a real tooth. This is not considered changing the Creation of Allah , insha ' Allah , since no specific prohibition has been reported about it.
Therefore ,the criteria used to determinate whether an alteration in one's appearance is prohibited or not is if it violates a legislative text. So if there is not contradiction, to Allah's legislation , may He be glorified and exalted ,then this is not considered the prohibited changing of Allah's Creation.
For example powders and make-up that the women use on their faces to make their appearances more plessing , this is not something that changes the creation of Allah in its origin. But if she intends to deceive someone who wants to marry her , or to pretend to be someone else , then that is prohibited , and it is from the prohibited changing of the creation of Allah.
So then our guideline in understanding the issue is that the appearance is not to be changed in a way that contradicts Allah's Legislation whether the contradiction is found in the action itself [5] or in something else that results from the action.[6] and Allah knowes best.

The doors of Paradise

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

-"The doors of Paradise will be opened on Monday and on Thursday , and every servant (of Allah) who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven ,except for the man who has a grudge against his brother."
-"Gardens of perpetual bliss -they shall enter them, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring . And Angels shall enter upon them every gate." (ar-Ra'd:23)
-"This is a reminder. Verily, for the righteous is a beautiful place of (final) return-gardens of eternity, whose doors will (always)  be open  for them." (Saad:49-50)
-"And those who feared their Lord  will be led to the Garden in crowds, until behold , they arrive there. its gates will be opened, and its keepers will say "PEACE BE UPON YOU"  Well have you done , do enter it, abiding (in it) eternally ." (Az-Zumar:73)
-Sahl bin Sa'd reported that the Prophet (Salla Allahu alyhi wa sallam) said: "Paradise has eight gates and one of them is called ar-Rayyan , through none will enter both those who observe fasting."[Al Bukhaari]
-Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Whoever spends two things in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise and will be addressed. "Oh slave of Allah!, here is porsperity" So whoever was among the people who used to offer their prayers will be called from the gate of the prayer; and whoever was among the people who use to participate in Jihaad, will be called from the gate of Jihaad; and whoever was amongs those who used to perform fast will be called from the door of ar-Rayyan ; and whoever was amongs those who used to give charity will be called from the gate of charity." Abu Bakr said: "Let my parents be sacrificed for you, oh Allah's apostle! No distress or need will befall him who will be called from those gate. Will there be anyone who will be called from all those gates?" The Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: Yes, I hope you will be one of them." ( Al Bukhaari)
-'Uqba Ibn Amir said: "We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn, when I came back  in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found Allah's Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) stand and address the people . I heard these words of his " If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and pray two raka's, setting about them with his heart as well , as his face, Paradise will be guaranteed to him." I said: What a fine thing this is! A narrator who was before me said: The first was even better than this. When I cast a glance , I saw that it was 'Umar who said " I see that you have just come and observed. If anyone among you performs the ablution , completess the ablution well and says: "I TESTIFY THAT THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND THAT MOHAMMED IS THE SERVANT OF ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER". Then the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes." (Muslim).
-Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: " The gates of Paradise will be opened on Monday and Thursday and every servant (of Allah) who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven ,except for the man who has a grudge against his brother.(about them) it will be said: "Delay these two until they are reconciled. Delay these two until they are reconciled, Delay these two until they are reconciled" (Muslim, Maalik, Abu Dawood)

The lenguage selected

Thursday, January 19, 2012

In which language the chosen people speak in the Day of Resurection?
Allah ta'ala would speak to the people in Arabic?
It is true that the language of the people of Hell-fire will be the Persian and the language of the people of Paradise will be Arabic?:

All praise belong to Allah the Lord of the Worlds.
It is not know in which language people spoke that day, nor which language will be heard , the direction of the Lord " La wa ja Ula" because Allah ta'ala did not inform us about this, nor His Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam).
It is not authentic that the Persian will be the language of the people of Hell-fire or that Arabic will be the language of the people that stay in Eternal Blessing.
We dont know a dispute between the Companions (Radia Allahu anhun) and all abstained from this , because talking about such things was and is a useless speach...But there was a dispute between the people that come after, so some of them said that the people will speak Arabic.
Others said: No, the people of Hell-fire will respond in Persian and  is its language in the Hell-fire.
Others said: No, they will speak Syriac, because it is the language of Adam and from it all languages are separated.
Others said: No, the people of Paradise , will speak Arabic.
There is no basis for these opinions, nor intellectual, nor transmitted , but is a claim that has no evidence and  Allah (Subhanna wa ta'ala) is more Informed and know More.

The benefits of Salah

Sunday, December 25, 2011

Allah the Exalted has said:

"And seek help in patience and in prayer. Surely that is something quite difficult on (people) other than people of humility and submissiveness."

And He has said:
O you who believe! Seek help in patience and in prayer! Verily, Allaah is with those who are patient."

And He, the Exalted one, has said:
And command your family to pray, and be patient upon that. We are not asking you for any provisions, (rather) We provide for you, and the favorable outcome is for (those with)taqwaa (consciousness of Allaah that produces righteous actions)"

And in the books of Sunnah is reported that the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alyhi wa sallam) used to hasten to prayer whenever and affair disturbed him. And previously discussed was the concept of healing most ailments through prayer before seeking out other ways of dealing with them.
Prayer is something that causes one to receive sustenance.
It is something that safeguards one's physical health.
It keeps away harmful things.
It casts away illness.
It strengthens the heart.
It brightens one's countenance.
It delights the soul.
It gets rid of laziness.
It makes the limbs active.
It increases one's physical strength.
It expands the chest (making one at ease and giving him insight)
It is nourishment for the soul.
It illuminates the heart.
It safeguards one's blessings.
It repels catastrophes.
It keeps away the Shaytaan- the devil.
It draws one close to Ar-Rahman (Allah , the Most Merciful)
And overall  it has an amazing effect on the health of the body and heart , and in strengthening them and expelling harmful pollutants from them.No two people have been afflicted with any disability, disease , or other calamity , except that the portion of the one who prays is less and his outcome is clearner.

Also, prayer has an amazing effect on the evils of the dunyya (the worldly life) and how it repels them, especiallay when the prayer is performed properly and completely , inwardly and outwardly. Nothing keeps the evils of the dunyaat bay and brings on the benefits of it like prayer.

The reason behind this is that prayer is one's connection to Allah , the Mighty and Majestic. so based on the strength of a person's relationship with his Lord , the Mighty and Majestic , the doors of goodness will accordingly be opened up for him, bad things and the reasons for them befalling him will be cut off , and the elements of sucess granted by his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic , will begin pouring in, along with safety and good health, wealth and worldly riches, relaxation , bliss, enjoyment , and all types of joyful affairs will be brought to him, and in an expedient manner, too.

Congratulating the disbelievers in their holidays

Saturday, December 24, 2011

QUESTION: What is the ruling of congratulating the disbelievers in their Christmas celebration ? And how do we respond to them if they greet us with it. And is it permissible to go to the places where they are having celebrations for that purpose. And does the person (Muslim) take a sin if he does the aforementioned without any intent ? Rather he only does it being courteous , or due to shyness or due to being put in an awkward situation, or due to some other reasons . And is it permissible to resemble them in this.

ANSWER: Congratulating the disbelievers in theis Christmas or other than that from their religious holidays is not permissible according to the consensus. As was related by Imam Ibn al Qayyim (Rahimahu Allah) in his book “The ruling on the people beneath the Muslim protection”, when he said:
"As for congratulating the disbelievers for  their religious ceremonies that have kufr (disbelief) attached to it , then it is not permissible according to the consensus. For example congratulating them for their holidays on their fasts, so the person says: “May you have a bless holiday” or he wishes them well for their holiday or something like that. So this , if the one who says it escapes from falling into kufr (disbelief) , is (still) from the impermissible things. And it is in the same level as congratulating them for prostrating to the cross. Ratehr it is a greater sin with Allah. And it is a more severe abomination than to congratulate them for drinking alcohol and killing someone, committing illegal sexual intercouse and things of this nature. And many of the people  who don't have any deen ( or respect for the deen) fall into this. And he doesn't know the ugliness (evil) of what he has done. So whoever congratulates a person for committing sins , or innovations , or disbelief , then he has exposed himself to the hate , wrath (anger) of Allah."

Shaykh Uthaymeen (Rahimahu Allah) continues:
So congratulating the disbelievers on the religious holidays is not permissible , as shown by the proof brought by Ibn  Al Qayyim (Rahimahu Allah). Because in it, (congratulating the kufr in the religious holidays) is an approval for what they are upon from their kufr ceremonies, and showing them that you are please with it. Even if the person is not pleased with the actual kufr itself , it is also not permissible for the Muslim to be pleased with kufr ceremonies , or to congratulate them for it.  Because the Allah , the Exalted is not pleased with that , as Allah the Exalted says:
If you disbelieve, then verily, Allaah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you.” (AzZumar 39: 7)
And the Exalted says:
This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” (Al-Ma'idah 5: 3)
So congratulating them with this is haraam whether this person is your co-worker or not.So if they greet us with their holidays greeting , we don't respond to them with it , because it is not our holiday, and their holidays that Allah is not pleased with it and because it is something that is either innovated in their religion , or it was legislated but has since been abrogated by the deen of Islam that which Mohammed ( Salla Alahu alayhi wa sallam) was sent with to all of the creation. And He (Allaah) says about it (Islam):
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers”(Aali Imran 3: 85)
And for the Muslims to accept their invitations to these occasions (holiday celebrations) is haram ( impermissible) . Because this is worst that congratulating them with it , because this would entail participating with them in this. Also it is haram for the Muslims to imitate the disbelievers by establishing celebrations for these occasions.or to exchange gifts, or to distribute sweets , or trayts of food , or to stop work or anything like this. Due to the statement of the Prophet ( Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) ,“Whoever imitates a people is from them” and Shaykh Ul Islam Ibn Taymiyah (Rahimahu Allah) said in his book "Follow the straight path and oppose the path to the fire" that:
"Imitating them in some of their celebration causes happiness in their hearts for what they are upon from falsehood. And it is possible that this might encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity to humiliate the weak minded"
And whoever does anything from this is a sinner. And it is the same whether he did it being courteous , or seeking friendship, or due to shyness, or any other reason , because this is from being deceitful in the deen of Allah. And this is from the reasons that reinforce the psyche of the disbelievers and to make them proud of their deen.

Don't be stingy with your Deen.

Friday, December 23, 2011

A person being stingy with his Deen to the point that being thrown into fire is more beloved to him that disbelief:

That is because of what has come on the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) in that which Abu 'Abdillah al Haafidh has transmitted to us (saying) Abul- Abbaas Muhammas Ibn Ya'qoob narrated to us (saying) Ibraaheem Ibn Marzooq narrated to us (saying) Wahb Ibn Jareer and Bishr Ibn 'Umar both said Shu'bah narrated to us on Qataadah on Anas (Radia Allahu anhun) that he said, The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Three (traits) ,whoever has them (then) he has found the sweetness of Imaan (faith); he who Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him that anyone else , and he who loves someone, loving him only for Allah , and he who being thrown into fire is more beloved to him that returning to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it."
The two (Al Bukhari and Muslim) have transmitted in the Saheeh from the hadeeth of Shu'bah ibn  Al  Hajjaaj.
Abu 'Abdillah al Haafidh has transmitted to us (saying) Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Baalawaih has transmitted to us , and Abul Husain ibn Al Fadl Al-Qattaan transmitted to us  (saying) Abu Sahl Ibn Ziyaad has narrated to us, they both (meaning  Abu Bakr and Abu Sahl) said Ishaaq Ibn Al Hassan Ibn Salamah narrated to us (saying) Thaabit al Bunaanee transmitted to us on Annas Ibn Malik (Radia Allahu anhun) that the messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
" Three (traits), whoever has them (then) he has found by them the sweetness of Imaan; he who Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anyone else, and the man who loves a man loving him only for Allah , and the man who being thrown into the fire is more beloved to him than returning to being a Jew or a Christian."
Muslim transmitted him in the Saheeh by way of another chain on Hammaad.
Al Baihaqee (Rahimau Allah) has said:
So he (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) has demonstrated by this statement of being stingy with the Deen (not wanting to give any of it up) is from Imaan ,because he mentioned the sweetness like Imaan and what he intended is that the person who is stingy with his Deen, is like someone eating something sweet, for just as the one who craves something sweet , he does not find the sweet sensation and take pleasure in it except when eating it. likewise the ones who craves Imaan , his intent from it is not granted to him except when he is stingy with it , for verily he , when he is stingy with Imaan he won't do that which will nullify it , and Allah knows best.

Furthermore, being stingy with the Deen is divided in two types. The first is being stingy with its "Asl"(root,basis,foundation,etc..) so that it does not depart and the second is being stingy with its "Kamaal" (completeness, perfection,etc..) so that it won't become deficient.

Also from being stingy with the Deen is that the believer when he is amongst a people that he is not able to give the Deen its rights amongst them and he is afraid that they will turn him away from his Deen , and he if he leaves from he will find for himself a safe place to settle and he will be in a better state therein than when he was amongst these people, he does not reside amongst them and makes Hijrah (migration) to where he knows it is better for him and more suitable. Allah (Subhanna wa ta'ala) said:
"And whoever leaves his home as a migrant to Allaah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him his reward has become incumbent upon Allaah.” – An-Nisaa:100

The passport of the believer

Saturday, November 26, 2011

Q- I am an Algerian joung man; religiously upright (If Allah Subhanna wills). I have lived in Canada for a long time and I try to leave it as soon as posible. But I do not have a residence to settle down in my country.
So, is it permissible to get the Canadian passport ( with some conditions I will mention later on) since it enables me to leave this country and enter the Gulf States and try to settle there?
And here are the conditions:
  1. Indeed getting the Canadian passport will not invalidate my Algerian nationality , but it will be the original one , this is confirmed by their laws and the Algerian country accepts plurality of nationalities.
  2. I am able to renounce this passport whenever I want , without having problems. This is also confirmed by their laws.
  3. I can avoid the oath of respecting the Queen , her children and the King as long as I sit in the back of the room without uttering a word.
May you be helpful for us ( by your answer) and May Allah bless you.

A- All praise is due to Allah , the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a Mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.
It is not allowed to acquire the disbelievers' nationality even with keeping the original one , because of the negative aspects which affect the Muslim's religion and creed. It is enought to know what results from implicit contenment in applying the disbelievers' customs and laws of that country, besides referring to them as judges and showing pride of being a Canadian citizen and all what engenders ; in terms of allegiance and friendship toward them and imitating them in their words and deeds. This contradicts the completeness of faith or nullifies it , according  to the situation. Allah ta'ala said:
﴿لاَ تَجِدُ قوْمًا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ يُوَآدُّوْنَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَو كَانُوا آبآءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَآءَهُم أَوْ إخْوَانَهُم أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ…﴾ [المجادلة: 22].
Translation of the meaning of the verse:
You (O Mohammad ) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Mohammad ), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their kindred (people)…". [Al-Mujâdilah (The Woman Who Disputes): 22. So the Muslim is called to complete his religion and increase his faith in calling to Allah ta'ala and showing Islam.
And among the conditions of traveling to the country of disbelief is to manifest the religion and reveal its rites in a complete way without any opposition to any of them; with the capacity of being loyal to the Muslims and disavowal to the disbelievers. And those who are not able to do so are obliged to go back to the place they came from and try hard to look for a job and getr satisfied with littleness and ask Allah for sucess. He is the best Helper and the Best Provider.
The perfect knowledge perform to Allah. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah. , the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and Blessing be upon our Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam), his Family, his Companions and Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

The pillars of the Kufr

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

" The pillars of Kufr (i.e. disbelief and disobedience) are four:
  1. Kibr, i.e. arrogance , which prevents him from submission (to the command of Allah).
  2. Hasad, i.e. jealousy , which prevents him from accepting advice and giving it.
  3. Ghadab, i.e. anger, which preventes him from being just.
  4. Sha'wah, i.e. lowly desiers, which prevents him from devoting himself totally to worship.
Hence if the pillar of arrogance is removed, then it becomes easy to submit , and if the pillar of jealousy is removed then it becomes easy for him to accept nasheehah (i.e. advice) and to give advice. If the pillar of anger is removed tehn it becomes easy for him to be just and humble himself and if the pillar of lowly desires is removed then it becomes easy for him to be patient , chaste and devote himself to worship. Every imprudent characteristic derives from these four. And when these characteristics settle in his heart they will cause him to see falsehood as truth and to see truth as falsehood. To see Ma'roof (i.e. good) as Munkar (i.e. evil) and evil as good, and it brings him closer to the life of this world and pushes the Hererafter further from him.

Uprooting strong and power mountains from their places is easier that removing these four characteristics from the heart of an individual who is tested with them. This proves specially true when these characteristics become firmly rooted and embedded in an individual to the point they become second nature , for when an individual reaches this point it is almost impossible for him to do any good deeds , nor would he purify himself with them if he were to perform any acts of good. The more he strives  diligently to perform acts of good the more his actions are corrupted by these four characteristics.

If you reflect on the disbelief of the past nations , you will find that it derived from one of these four pillars, and it was due to one of these four that they were punish. However the severity of the punishment was dependant of the degree and extent of these pillars with those nations. So, whoever adorns himself with these pillars then he subjects himself to all types of consequences , in the life of this world and in the Hereafter. And whoever avoids them distances himself from all types of evil , because these characteristics prevent him from  Inqiyad (i.e. submission), Ikhlas (i.e. sincerity), tawbah (i.e.repentance), accepting the truth, giving advice to the Muslims and humbling himself to Allah and to His creation.

These characteristics emerge due to the slave's ignorance of his Lord, and his ignorance of his own selfworth or value. If he truly knew his Lord with all of His lofty characteristics and was truly aware of his own-short comings and deficiencies , he would not have a reason to be arrogant nor seek retribution for himself. Nor would he be jealous of any one because of what Allah has given them, because in reality, jealousy is a type of enmity or hostility towards Allah, primarily because the slave hates the fact that Allah has bestowed upon one of his servants a particular blessing and he ardently desires that this blessing be taken away from him. So he actually oppose and contests the decree of Allah and he deems the blessing of Allah to His slave to be unjust and dislikes for him what Allah loves for him. And it was because of this characteristics that Iblis become the enemy of Allah, i.e. his arrogance and jealousy.

Hence to reply these two hideous and evil characteristics with sound knowledge of Allah and His uniqueness and being pleased with Him as your Lord and turning towards Him for assistance in all of his affairs , and replacing anger with true knowledge of himself and his value, and the fact, that he does not have the right to get angry and seek retribution for himself over the pleasure of his Lord and expressing anger towards his Lord, who originated him.

And the greatest thing which would assist him in ridding himself of this characteristic is to condition himself to get angry for the pleasure of Allah , and to be pleased with the pleasure of Allah. And every time he gets angry or is pleased for the pleasure of Allah then anger and pleasure for other that Him will be obliterated , and the opposite is the same.

However the cure for his lowly desires sound knowledge and understanding that his obedience to his lowly desires is the greatest reason on hindrance for him attaining satisfation , and his abstaining from these lowly desires is the greatest reason and means by which he can attain satisfation. so every time he sets out to attain satisfaction by following his lowly desires he actually pushes himself further away from achieving this satisfaction , and the more he avoids his lowly desires , the closer he is to attaining the satisfaction he is looking for in the most complete manner.

So Ghadab (i.e. anger) is like a predator , the minute you turn your attention away from it , it will eat you alive.
And shah'wah (i.e. lowly desires) is like fire the moment he ignites him, it will begin to burn him alive.
And Kibr (i.e. arrogance) is like arguing with a king about his possesion , either he will kill you because of this , or just deprive you of it.
And Hasad (i.e. jealousy) is like showing enmity and hatred towards someone who is more powerful that you.

The one who can control his lowly desires and his anger will remove the Shaytaan from his midst. And the he whose lowly desires and anger overtakes him deprives himself from the shade and protection of Allah.

The soofees and Baitullaah

The Islamic believe said that Allah is above the heavens.
Allah (Subhanna wa ta'ala) said in the Quran:

"Do you feel secure, that He (Allah), who is above the heavens, will not cause the earth to sink with you." (67-16)
And in a long hadeeth found in Saheeh Muslim, it is narrated that the companion,  Mu`awiyah ibn al-Hakam (Radia Allahu anhu) slapped his servant girl who used to tend his sheep, and as a result went to the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) and asked what should be done as an atonement for having slapper her. The Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: "Bring her to me" so  Mu`awiyah brought her to the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam). The Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) then asked her:" Where is Allah?" and she replied: above the sky then the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) asked her: Who am I? and she replied: You are Allah's Messenger, so the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Free her, for verily she is a true believer ( Saheeh Muslim, Vol 1, Hadith #1094).

The Naqshbandi ( soofee group) believe said: Allah is everywhere.
On page 13 of the book Haqiqat ul Haqqani it reads, "Allaah Almighty is everywhere but specially in the Baitullaah as He has Himself called it the house of Allaah. For it to be called the house of the Lord, the Lord of the house must be in it."
The concept of Allah , being everywhere is not Islamic as the above Quranic Ayah and the authentic hadeeth confirm. Indeed if Allah was everywhere then  there would be no need for the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) to go up through the seven skies on the night of Mi`raaj to meet Allaah , he would hae been in the direct presence of Allah in his very own house."

The beliefs of the evidences

Saturday, October 22, 2011

This is a debate between the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah (who believe that Allah is above everything) and the Maturidis/ Asharis, who do not believe thus. It also deals with their false claims about Ahlus Sunnah.

Debate about where is Allah:
Azhari Shaikh : You (the Salafis) have put Allah in a place.
Shaikh al Albani: May Allah be raised above this. This is a great lie.
The Shaikh then said: Then a research between myself and him come about
I (Shaikh Albani) said to him: Oh teacher! is place (makaan) something present or absent?
Azhari Shaikh:No, it is something present.
I said: And is what is present limited or unlimited?
Azhari Shaikh:?Limited
I said: Ok let us research now: we are on the earth, what is above us?
Azhari Shaikh:The first heaven.
I said: Until the 7th?
Azhari Shaikh: Until the seventh.
I said: And above the seventh?
Azhari Shaikh: The Throne.
I said: And above the Throne what is there?
Azhari Shaikh: Above the Throne are the Karuubeeyuun.
I said: And what are the Karuubeeyuun?
Azhari Shaikh: These are angels.
I said: Do you know a verse of the Quran that says that there are angels called Karuubeeyuun
Azhari Shaikh: Nope
I said: Is there a hadith from the Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) that says this?
He said: Nope
I said: Then where did you get this belief from?
He said:Oh Teacher! We leant this in Azhar
I said: Oh Teacher!Did you learn in Azhar that belief is taken (as they claim) only from a evidence that is sure and affirmed and sure in evidence. they build their belief upon this, that beliefs are no taken from and authentic hadeeth except if it is Mutawatir ( has ten narrators or above in every part of the chain)?
He said: Yes
I said: Not a verse, not a Hadeeth Mutawatir, not even a Hadeeth Aahad. So where did you'll get this belief from? In any case, this is not the point, say that there are angels above the Throne called Karuubeeyuun  : About these angels what is there?
He said: That is all.All is ended.
I said: Is there any place there?
He said: No.
I said: We say that Allah is above the creation, therefore he is not a place, because place (makaaas he describen) is something created and limited, therefore he is not a place, therefore when we describe Allah as He describe Himself why do you explain this belief and this statement to which is contrary to what it is? Firstly: Your understanding is that the creation is limited, therefore why do you say: Allah is in a place according to this Mujassimah (those who make  Allah similar to His creation)who are called Salaf as Salih, then you esplain it contrary to the Verses? Why don't you submit your beliefs according to the evidences that are Mutawatir? Even some of the Imams of Hadeeth like Haafez adh Dhahabi wrote a small book which is spicific to this which is called: Al 'Uluuw Lil "alee Al ghaffar .

Incantations, Amulets and Charms

Thursday, October 20, 2011

Magic  , and from that is as-sarf (aversion) and al-atf (inclination). So as for as-sarf, then it is a magical action by which it is intended to avert a man from that which he desires. such as changing  a man's love for his wife into hatred for her. As for al-atf, it is a magical action also by which it is intended to make a man love that which he does not usually desire, such as making him love the paths of shaytan. Allah , the Most High, said:

"But neither of this two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "we are only for trial, so disbelieve not."(by learning this magic from us) (Al Baqarah, 102)
From Abdullah Ibn Masood (Radia Allahu anhu) who said: "The Messenger of Allah,(Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said, verily the incantations, amulets and charms are Shirk." (Abu  Dawood, 3883).

A brief explanation of Islam

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

(

1) The deen  (religion) of Islam: It is the way of life that Allah sent the Prophet Mohammed (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) with. By it Allah terminated the validity of all others religions, perfected this religion for His worshippers. Completed His favour upon them and has chosen only this religion for them- no other religion will be accepted ny Him from anyone, Allah the Most High, said:
"Mohammed is not the father of any man amongst you. Rather he is the Messenger of Allah and the khaatim (last and final) of the Prophets." (Al Ahzaab,40)

" This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."( Al Maatidah,3)

"Indeed the religion with Allah is Islam" (Al ´Imraam, 19)

"Whosoever seeks a religion other that Islam, never it will be it accepted for him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers."(Al 'Imraam, 85)
And Allah, the Most High obligated all of mankind to take Islam as their religion. So Allah said, whilst addressing His Messenger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam):
" Say: o mankind! Indeed I have been sent to you as the Messanger of Allah, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. None has the right to be worshipped except Him. It is He who gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger- the Prophet that can neither read nor write- who believes in Allah and His Words. So follow the Messenger of Allah so that you may be rightly guided." (Al 'Araaf, 158)
And in Saheeh Muslim (1/93), from Abu Hurayrah (Radia Allahu anhu) that Allah's Messanger (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said. By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad! There is no one from this nation, be Him a Jew or a Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in  the Message that I was sent with, except that he will be one of the Companions of Hellfire.

And Eemaan (faith) in the Prophet implies: Affirming that which he was sent with. Along with acceptance of it and submission to it. Without these two matters, mere affirmation is no sufficient. This is way even though Abu Taalib (the Prophet's uncle) affirmed what was sent to the Prophet Mohammed (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) and that Islam was the best of religions, yet he did not accept his message nor submit to it; and thus he did not have eemaan, in the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa salam).

(2) The religion of Islam contains all what was beneficial from the previous religions. It is suitable for implementation in any age, any where, and by any nation. Allah, the Most High, said:
"And we have sent down to you the Book in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it testifying to the truth contained therein whilst exposing the falsehood that has been added therein." (Al Maa'idah,48)
That Islam is suitable for implementation in any age, anywhere and by any nation does not mean that it becomes submissive to nations, being altered and changed by them, As some people falsely think. But rather it means that whenever it is truly adhered to then it brings benefict and goodness to that nation, as well as reforming and correcting it, in whatever age or place.

(3) The religion of Islam is the religion of truth. It is the way of life that Allah, the Most High, guaranteed His help and vistory for those who truly adhere to it, and that He would make it dominant over all others religions, Allah , the Most High, said:
" It is He Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that it may prevail over all other religions, even if the pagans detest it." (At Tawbah, 33)
And Allah, the Most High, said:
" Allah has promised to those amongst you who truly have eemaan (true faith and belief) and act in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, that He will grant them rulership upon the earth, just as He granted it to those before them, and that He will stablish their religion for them and grant them the authority to practise their religion which  He chose and ordered them with. And He will certain change their situation to one of security, after their fear. Providing that they worship and obey Me, not associating anything else in worship with Me. Then, whoever rejects this favour by disobedience to their Lord, then they are the rebellious transgressors." (An Noor,55)
 (4) The religion of Islam is a complete religion comprising both 'aqueedah (beliefs) and Sharee'ah (laws). It commands them with Tawheed (To single out Allah alone for worship) and prohibits them from Shirk (associating partners with Allah in that which is particular to Him). It commands them with being truthful and prohibits them from lying. It commands them with 'adl (justice) and prohibits them from injustice and oppression. It commands them with fulfilling trust and prohibits them from acting treacherously. It commands them with keeping promises and prohibits them from breaking them. It commands them with kindness and good treatment of parents and prohibits them from disobedience to them in that which is not sinful. It commands them with joining the ties of realtion and prohibits them from severing them. It commands them withgood treatment to neighbours and prohibits the causing of harm to them. In short, Islam orders all that is good, from manners and morals, and prohibits all that is evil from it. Likewise, it orders all actions which are righteous and good and prohibits  all actions that are evil and harmful. Allah , the Most High, said:
"Indeed Allah enjoins upon you justice, kindness and the giving of good to relatives and He prohibits you from all shameful and evil deeds, oppression and transgression. Thus he admonishes you, that you may take heed and be reminded." (An Nahl,90)
