What to make with the hair?

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

What are the Islamic laws on plucking the hair between the eyebrows ?
They replied : Plucking is permissible because it is not part of the eyebrows.

SOURCE: Fataawa al Laynah al Daa'imah 5/197 , Saikh Al Fawzan (Hafidhahu Allah)

You can hear the original audio in Arabic ,here.

Question-Can I cut the fringe of my hair , since it exceeds my eyebrows? May Allah Reward you with goodness
Answer- In fact, Muslim women can cut their  hair giving the court they like, especially when due to its length , it makes it hard to wasj and comb It is not permissible to shave the head, unless it is sick and is not allowed to use tracks that imitate the fashions imposed by disbelieving women of questionable decency.

SOURCE: Shaikh Ibn Baaz (Rahimahu Allah) in Islamic jurisprudence responses for women.

Question- What is the ruling of plucking the hair of the eyebrows and the hair in between if it is thick ? Is it permmissible to remove the hair of the moustache and the face , and does this kind of hair take the   same ruling as the hair of the eyebrows ? What is the ruling on what religiously committed women should do to please their husbands and society?
Answer- It is not permissible to pluck eyebrows , because this is Nams ( removing hair from the face/ eyebrows) . The Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) cursed whoever does it, because this implies the changing of Allah's Creation , as this is driven by Satan . If a woman's husband order her to do that, she should not obey him , because this is a sin, and there is not obedience to anyone in disobedience to the Creator. Obedience is only in what is good as per the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) Hadith. Therefore, the hair of the face is not to be removed  unless it deforms the face , such as a moustache or a beard grows on a woman's  face. In this case there is nothing wrong to pluck out this hair .
May Allah grant us sucess, May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammed , his Family and his Companions.

Your my wife

Saturday, February 25, 2012

The righteous slave shu'ayb ( Rahimahu Allah) wanted to get married. When he saw her, he like what he saw and she agreed on him as well . But he feared she would not be patient of his temper and 'akhlaaq , so he said to her: "Know that I am of bad akhlaaq (temper)". She replied to him like a wise , mature and patient wife and said : "Worse than you  in akhlaaq , is the one who causes you to be bad tempered". He liked her reply and told her immediately " Your my wife".

And for us women, what?

Sunday, January 22, 2012

If the men will be given the hour'ayn (female maid servants) in Paradise then what will there be for the women?
Allah the Blessed , the Most High says about the pleasure of the People of Paradise:
"We have been your friends in the life of this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you should have  (all) that your inner-selves desire , and therein you should have (all) for which you ask. "An entertainment from (Allah) , the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Allah the Most High says:
"Therein all that inner-selves could desire , all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein for ever"
And it is know married is the biggest thing that the souls desire so it will be obtained in the Paradise for its in habitants whether they are male or female. So Allah the Blessed , the Most High will cause the woman to be married in Paradise to her husband that she was married to in the Dunyya (the current life) as Allah the Blessed , the Most High says:
" Our Lord! And make them enter the 'Adn (Eden) Paradise which you ahve promised them - and to the righteous among their fathers , their wives, and their offspring! Verily you are the All Mighty, the All Wise."
A woman does not get married in this life or she married a husband who does not get to Paradise...
The answer to this is taken from the general statement of the Most High:
" Therein you should have (all) that your inner-selves desire, and therein you should have (all) for which you ask. An entertainment from (Allah ) the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful"
And from His statement:
"There will be therein all what inner-selves coould desire , all that lights could delight in and you will abide therein forever."
So if a woman is from the inhabitants of Paradise and she does not get married or her husband is not from the inhabitants of Paradise when she enters Paradise there will be those who men did not get married from amongst the People of Paradise and they are the mos obediente of those men  who did not married  they will have wives from the Hour'ayn abd wives from the people of the Dunnya if they wish and if their souls desire that. Likewise we say in regards to the woman when she does not have a husband or she had a husband during trhe dunyya but he did not enter Paradise with her then she will desire to marry so it will be necessary that they will be for her what she desires, based on the generalities contained in these aforementioned verses. And there has not reached me a specific text regarding this issue and its knowledge is with Allah the Most High.

If the woman has two husbands in this life which one she marry in the Hereafter?...Why Allah mention the wives for the men but does not mention the husbands for the women?...
If a woman has twho husbands in this life, then she will pick from one of them on the Day of Juzgement in Paradise. If she was not married in this life then Allah , the Most High will her to be married to the oone who pleases her in Paradise. The pleasures of Paradise are not limited to males rather it is for the males and the females and from its pleasures is marriage.
The statement of the questioner that Allah Most High mentiones the Hour'ayn and that they are wives (from them) but He did not mention husbands for the women then we say oon the contrary He mentioned the wives for the husbands because the husband is the pursuant and desirer of  woman. So based on that the wives for the men in Paradise were mentioned while He remained silent concerning the husbands for the women. That does not conclude that they will not have husbands rather they will have husbands that will be from the children of Adam.

The women Salah ( Amin, Adhan, Iqamah)

Sunday, December 11, 2011

Question 3 : Does the woman raise her voice with saying the Amin , and does she also give the Adhan and the Iqamah (for prayer)?
Shaykh Albani answers: As for is it correct for the woman to raise her voice with amin , then there is a detailed explanation with regard to the question. If she is praying with women , then yes.  As for if she is praying with men who are strangers (i.e. no mahram) , then no. Because I do not say that the voice of a woman is 'awrah, as many say, because the mothers of the believers and the wives of the early Companions used to speak with men and uned to communicate with men ; and often timen the woman used to come to the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) and ask him (a question) in front of the men.And he (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) would asnwer her question.
But (here) it is not part of the good manners of a woman that she raises her voice with the recitation of the Quran. we are often asked - is it permissible for the woman , when she is learning the recitation from the Shaykh who is a reciter , to repite the recitation to him, in order for him to correct her- the answer is no. Although she learns, her learning is restricted to listen only , as learned the women of  all the Companions from the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) by listening to his recitation during prayer or outside of prayer.

How to advise a sister that show her beauty ? (Dawah between sisters)

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

How should the Muslim woman that is daa'iyah ( sister that call to Islam) to advise Muslim women who show their beauty?
"....She advises, telling her sisters in Islam "You must avoid meddle with men. you must avoid going uncovered , and you must be diligent in taking proper head cover when you meet men in front ,of which is not permissible to be exposed in front of them.
Allah The All-mighty says:

"When you ask them an object do it from behind a curtain. It is purer for your hearts and for theirs" (Al-Ahzaab: 53)
And the Most-High also says:
" And do not display their beauty except in the presence of their husbands" (An-Nur:31)
So She brings the verses and narrations that are appropriate and contain the clarification of what Allah has commanded. Also warns what is opposed to the legislation pure and clear to their sisters in Islam which is mandatory  for all of us, while warning of what  Allah has forbbiden.

And we must cooperate in righteousness and piety and the defense of truth ,  persevering patiently."

Damages of the hairdresser, part 2: The Muslim woman revealed

Damages of to go to the hairdresser:
Second damage:
The elimination of women's outerwear in a place other than their home without a legislated right!
Many women today take off their clothes in places that are not used to it. They are not safe from (grief) fitnah and are not advised to doubtful matters , like many places, such as looker rooms, which play a larger role in the spread of fashion for women or places such as hairdressing or what are popularly called today for the leisure as fitness centers.
The Prophet said:

"There is no woman that  puts off her clothes in a place other than her house, except that she tears the veil between her and Allah."

Looking at the statement of the Messenger , my Muslim sister: "...that she tears the veil between her and Allah." This exposure occurs when the outer garments are removed, so what about the one that takes off her clothes because it establishes the immorality and  corruption in places like attending beauty salons? Modesty and their preservation is what's between Muslim women and their Lord. He certainly covers a Muslim woman with modesty as He is noble and refined . But He does not divulde what is between Him and her.
Therefore, this Prophetic narration warns Muslim women attending places of uncertainty and suspicion of a unique look that is discover and avoid the causes of the calamity from another aspect.

Damages of the hairdresser , part 1: "Time is short and there is lots to learn"

Monday, December 5, 2011

The first damage of to go to the hairdresser:
The loss of time in studying of the Muslim women , because of the hairdresser and the aesthetic.
The time for the mulim woman is the most precious thing she has. If she wasted it doing this , then she has lost one of the most important things she had.
The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Take advantage of five matters before five other matters..(until the declaration)...and your free time before you become busy."
From the harmful materials have begun to spread rapidly in these times , either due to the natural inclination of women or developments of the modern age , is the study of the aesthetics.
Among the meanings of embellishment that enter in this topic are the things that are considered base of the beauty and are distinguised as "feminine" for this reason, we see their instructions in relation to herown embellishment , as in method one has the possibility to obtain the admiration of others.
Half and hour spent every afternoon in the skincare and fifteen minutes on the tabs.Similarly, the time spent in the fingernails and lost again in addressing the hands and feet. The following are training to trim the waist , relaxation exercises and steam -rooms, among the things that consume women's time and intellect.
They have written several books oriented towerd women , in addition to catalogs that contain photos of Muslim women explaining how they can beautify  as. They explain how to cut hair like them, fashionable clothing and how she can wear revealing clothes like them.
All this for women is the latest in fashion, progress and culture,
MAY ALLAH ERASE THEIR CULTURE !!!

The blessing of a daughter

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

By the authority of  Anas Ibn Malik (Radia Allahu anhu) who said:

"The Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: " Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach adulthood , he and I will be like this on the Day of Juzgement" and then next his fingers." (Saheh Muslim)
On the authority of Aishah (Radia Allahu anha) who said:

" A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking for some alms, but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave her. She divided it between her to daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then got up and went away. Then the Prophet ( Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ) came in and I informed him about this story, he said: “Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hellfire.” (Saheh Bukhari and Saheh Muslim)
An Nawawi (Rahimahu Allah) said: They are refered to them because they dislike them by the custom , Allah (Azza wa Jall) said:

(And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.) (Surah An nahl, 58)

An Nawawi (rahimahu Allah) said:  In them are found the merits of being kind with the girls and keeping them and being patient with them and their issues." (Explanation of Saheh Muslim by Imam An Nawawi)

On the authority on Ibn Uqbah  'Aamir ( Radia Allahu anhu) who said:

" I heard the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) say: Whoever has three daughters and is patient with them and wears them with his wealth , they will be for him a protection from the Fire." (Imam Bukhari in his book Adaabul Al-Mufraad and is the only authentic)
Allah (Subhanna wa ta'ala) says about the rights of women:
"For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good" ( An nisa, 19)

On the other hand , the servant could find many good things in them , in this life and in the other. Since it is sufficient for the believer the fact that what you  do not like but Allah like it, be in it a future benefict:

The question: A new law will be implemented upon us here in Europe (which entails) women being prevented from covering their faces , whether that be on the road or in public places , so what should we do?
The answer of the Shaykh: It is upon you to go back to the lands that you came from, you should leave the lands of the kuffaar , and return back to your lands , yes.

Nasheeha for the Muslimah

Monday, November 28, 2011

The responsability of the Muslim woman:

So today Muslim women must fear Allah regarding themselves and their societies. Likewise the modern woman, and first of all , the Muslim women must focus on raising their children at home , as they will be questioned about the children who are under heir care and custody.
They have to raise their daughters to have good manners. Fair and proper manners , to cover and be modest. The Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: " Each of you is a shepard, and each of you are responsible for his flock. A woman is a shepard of her husband's house and she is responsible for looking after it".

So a woman should raise her children , so straight, as all children living  covered under their custody , she is responsible for them.

Women in the Masjid

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

QUESTION- There are some Masjids in which the women pray below the actual Masjid , such as in the basement or in a upper level (above the Masjid). We are women who pray in these Masjids , at times followinf the Imaam from a point where we are not able to see him nor the male followers. And sometimes there is a large empty space left over in the area of prayer for the men. Is our prayer valid if we cannot see the Imaam of any of the (male) followers ,and while knowing that sometimes we enter the Masjid and don't know what raka'h he is in. It is allowed in this situation to follow (the Imaam) by (hearing) the raise voice only. Ansd it is correct for us to follow the Imaam while we are on an upper or lower level knowing that at times there is ample room in the Masjid (floor)?

ANSWER- The answer in is two parts. The first is that the prayer and the mentioned scenario is valid so long as the women pray in the Masjid, regardless or whether it is in the upper or lower level. And it is so long as they are able to hear the takbeers from the Imaam indicating the change in position, such as from standing to bowing to prostrating.
The second part is that it is not proper for the women to pray like this unless the area for the men is filled with people and they (the women) cannot find a place behind the rows for them to pray in. In this circumstances, it is permissible for the women to pray in the upper or lower level of the Masjid. But if this Masjid, where the Imaam and the men behind him pray, has ample room left over, then it is not allowed for the women to go up to the upper level or down to the lower level where they won't be able to see the movements of the men praying behind him. The reason for this goes back to two matters:
  1. When the Prophet ,Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ,said: "The best rows for the men are their first ones and their worst (rows) are their last ones. And the best rows for women are their last ones and the worst (rows) are their first ones" he meant by it in the same ground of the Prophet, Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam , and his companions behind him used to pray on. The women were not in upper or lower levels.
  2. The underlying reason for this is that the speakiers at times can be low and at others times they are not working. So the prayer of the women, who are following him from a upper or lower level, from which they cannot see the prayer of the Imaam or those behind him, is subject to becoming invalid.
To summarize this answer. The prayer that is performed while on a upper or lower level is valid. However, it is not permissible to designate those places for prayer when there is enough room in the prayer place ( musalla) , such that the women are able to pray in the back of it.

Behind a great man, we find a great woman

Monday, November 7, 2011

Umm Abdillah, wife of Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al Uthaymeen (Rahimahu Allah):

Question 15: What were the steps the Shaykh took in seeking knowledge, and what was your role  in that?
Answer: The Shaykh began teaching in the Grand Mosque in Unayzah following the death of his Shaykh . Abd ar Rahman ibn Naasir as Saa'di even before I married him. At that time he used to consider himself a student of knowledge. Concerning my assistance, it was manifested in not distracting him from seeking knowledge and propagating it. I use to serve and make avaible to him what would support his efforts.I would also follow the children and take care of them except in matters that required his notification so that he could direct, admonish and seek a solution.

Question 22: Where did the Shaykh like to spend his rest time?
Answer: In reality, the Shaykh did not know rest time ; all of his time was bussy, even when he was sitting with us, the phone sometimes would ring , and he would spend a lot of time addressing the call. His rest time was in propagating the knowledge, meeting people's need and fatawa.

Question 31: We would like an admonition from you to the wives of the callers and students of knowledge?
Answer: They should preserv their husbands, openly and secretly. In addition they should prepare for them the best situations and conditions to continue providing their duties of dawah and knowledge. Also, I incite them that they should not be bothered by the busy schedule of their husbands and their time spend travelling, seeking reward.

Question 47: If one would ask the father (i.e. the Shaykh) to admonish me as a girl, whay would you expect from him ?
Answer: He would admonish you as he would admonish one of his daughters and all of the daughters of the Muslims to fear Allah openly and secretly, to be righteous to the parents , uphold the ties of kidship, preserve the husband, and fear Allah regarding raising the children Islamically based on leniency and kindness.

Allah's name only will beautify you when you remind it.

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Praise be to Allah! The next question was directed to the permanent Commission on Scientific and religious verdicts by Mohammed Abdul Aziz:

Along with this letter I send a piece of gold jewelry with the name of Allah inscribed on it. Our Muslim women used for the sole purpose of adorning and beautifyind themselves. There was a time when the brothers of the office for to call back the good and forbid evil warned us about the jewelry contained the name of Allah, and that this was illegal.
I would add that not only Muslim women carry this as a garnish, in a manner no different from Christians and jews. The Christiansd inscribed the cross in the jewelry store and the Jews inscribed the star of  David. Please examine this issue for us.

Answer: Due to the jewel that contains the name of Allah inscribed on it, so that Muslim women wear it in their chest as Christian women with the cross or Jewish women with the star of David. Can become use it as an amulet to carry them away to good or evil, and they could reduce something that contains the name of Allah inscribed to sleep with her or moving to dirty places (such as toilette) , the Committee considers that allowed to use such jewels.
This does not seem to stay away from Christians and jews rather than Muslims are forbidden to imitate. This is also de meanin of preservation of the name of Allah and its importance and the generality of the prohibition of wearing amulets.

With Allah is the provision to make it right. May Allah send peace and blessings upon Muhammad (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam), his family and his Companions.

A dangerous bath

Monday, October 31, 2011

What is the ruling of having a sauna? Is it permisible for women and men to enter in without and izar? This phenomenon has widely spread so , please advice.

It is strictly forbidden for men to enter saunas without an izar. It was authentically reported in the Hadeeth reported by Jabir (Radia Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection, let him not go to public baths except while wearing an Izar." ( Related by Al-Nasa'iy and Al-Hakim, and ranked as Sahih (authentic) according to the conditions of Muslim )
This hadeeth has corroborating reports. Women are forbidden from entering in public baths,
It was reported from Aisha ( Radia Allahu anha) that she told some women that came to her: Are you the ones whose women enter public baths?. I have heard the Messenger of  Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) saying: A woman who removes her clothes in other than her husband's house tears the veil between her and Allah." ( Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhy, Ibn Majah, and Al-Hakim, and ranked as Sahih according to the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim. Al-Dhahaby agreed with him.)
It was related in Musnad (hadeeth compilation of) Imam Ahmed, and ranked as Hasan (good) by Al-Hafizh Ibn Kathir that Umar Ibn al Khatabb (Radia Allahu anhu ) said: "O people! I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying, 'A person who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection should not sit at a table where there is Khamr (intoxicants); a man who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection should not enter a public path without an Izar; and a woman who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection should not enter a public bath'" Al hafiz Ibn kathir (Rahimahu Allah) said: Imam Abu Ya`la Al-Mawsily and Al-Hafizh Abu Hatim Muhammad ibn Hibban related in his saheh book of hadeeth entitled : "Al-Anwa` wal-Taqasim", the hadeeth narrated on the authority of Muhammad ibn Thabit ibn Shurahbil from `Abdullah ibn Yazid Al-Khatmy from Abu Ayyub Al-Ansary (Radia Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "A man who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection should not enter public baths except while wearing an Izar; and a woman who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection should not enter public baths." He then said: " I told this to `Umar ibn `Abdul-`Aziz, when he was a caliph, so he wrote to Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn `Amr ibn Hazm to ask Muhammad Ibn Thabit about this hadeeth, as he is trustworthy. He asked him, and them he wrote to Umar, who forbade the women  from entering public baths.Umar ibn `Abdul-`Aziz carried out the sunnah (whatever is reported from the Prophet) of the Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam), who had said: "You must follow my Sunnah and that of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs after me." The Muslims have unanimously acknowledged that `Umar ibn `Abdul-`Aziz is one of the guided Imams and the Rightly Guided Caliphs who ruled according to al Haqq (the Truth). This is the end of his words.

May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family,
and Companions!

The weight of the love

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

By  Shaikh Mi'sid al Husayni.

Q- Is it permissible for a man to divorce his wife because she caught overweight and he did not like her?
A- I said to this man:

"No see. That if it were you who were overweight, while your wife was thin and she does not like your weight gain, would you be satisfied if  she requested a khul to you on a matter that is not completely under your control?
The answer will be no, of course and the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself"

It could be you who will become obese over a short period of time, this matter is in the hands of Allah (Subhanna wa ta'ala).
There are ways and medical methods and others, with whom a person can help his wife to lose weight.
But intelligent people among men do not look at issues of this kind, in fact, a household is based on the life kind to others, and this goes back to the piety and morals.
How many have a woman who have a beautiful body  and form , but it is a calamity to her husband?
And how many woman who are not, as such, but they apply the rights of her husband and they are good wives for him and he see her as a Hur of the Hurs of the life of this world?
So what should be seen and considered by this brother is her religion and customs; for her body then do not make a issue of it, specially since this woman has become his partner.
You should fear Allah with regard to your wife and must seek the way that help her to lose weight. I pray to Allah , that you and other Muslims have a sucess with the constancy."
